Inspiring, fun, and a little quirky - this fresh, creative shop showcases modern, handmade art and incredible gifts, inside a working artist’s studio.

With a focus on handprinted items, beautiful, funny, or unexpected, there is always something to delight.

In the Starfangled Press studio, artist-printmaker Kristen Necessary uses her love of traditional printmaking to put an old-fashioned twist on contemporary art and Americana; slinging ink and creating original art and gifts that help you connect with yourself and others. 

Inspired by life in the mountains of Central Appalachia and rooted in the creation of handmade original prints, heavily influenced by the techniques of woodcut, etching, screenprint, and letterpress. All of the images for our artwork are hand-drawn, blocks and screens handcrafted, and each impression is individually printed by hand on a printing press in their studio.
